Aegean VHF contest: Greek radio amateurs target the bands of Europe!

This year's Greek amateur radio contest, the 13th one, will be on air for 5 and 6 July, by daybreak Saturday, the 5th of July, until dawn the following Monday. The Aegean VHF Contest, is aiming to engage as much young and old amateurs from the all geographic regions of the country, including clubs, groups and individuals, in a common Greek amateur radio activity. Radio amateurs are invited to take all of their equipment, and operate from home or from a fairly high point by calling: «CQ CQ CQ Aegean Contest». The "performance" of every ham should be recorded and delivered to the coordinator in electronic calendars.

This year, the goal remains to address Europe: to establish the Aegean VHF Contest as a competition reference and the majority of other European hams to write in his diary that every first weekend of July must redirect their antennae south. The 33 participants from other European countries in the 11th Aegean Contest 2012, as a characteristic.
